CAS Challenges

I got such a kick out of this little stamp in the $1.00 bin at Michaels, that I had to buy it!

The Outlawz CAS challenge is so simple this week. We just ask that you make a CAS card using bakers twine. Hope you'll join us!

I tailored my card to fit the CAS-ual Friday challenge as well by adding scallops.   ;D

The Twinery makes this blue twine and many other fun colors. My dp is Heidi Grace designs. The red scallops are from DCWV. Memento black ink from Tsukineko and copic markers.

And now I present to you  Teacup Blessings clear art stamp set... 

 If you're wondering who will be receiving these delicate pink teacup invitations...it's Hanna, Halle and Nataly... my 9 year old's American girl dolls! (grin)

 

The Teacup Blessings set includes this lovely teacup image and 11 mix and match sentiments. The card above is layered with lots of fun embellishment.

But to me the clean and simple version below is just as pretty. This little teacup card is stamped on designer paper, highlighted a bit with Copics and cut out. This gorgeous paper is Cryogen white from The PaperTemptress. Gotta love that sparkle!

Sweet Ladybug

Do you ever buy a stamp set because you really love the main images?

I do that all of the time! Well, I decided to take some of my stamp sets out and REALLY look at them... it dawned on me that those seldom used images are really darn cute! I decided to start looking at my stamp sets in a new way.... I am going to play with some of those images that I often overlook.

Some of the smaller stamps are perfect for clean and simple cards. For example this little lady bug:

Paired with a beautiful sentiment and a few interesting textural elements, I think this little girl bug shines!  ;D

This is the Layers of Color Dotted Delights set. I was initially attracted to these sweet birds. And I love to use them... they are so pretty and make such charming cards...having said that, I think this lady bug is going to become a favorite of mine!

 Sweet, Right? What started my new goal of making better use of the stamp sets was looking for an image for the CAS-ual Fridays challenge blog. I love The Twinery's twine and I love buttons and that is the recipe to use this week.  ;D They have the coolest logo! Check it out...
