Tea Dyed Blooms

I must start this post with a huge {{{hug}}} and thank you to Melanie Muenchinger for the pleasure of getting to preview and play with her Pressed Flowers stamp set.

Next I must say waaaaahhhh! I'm not ready for my Guest Designer month with Melanie to end! LOL

With that said...I am giddy with excitement to see the upcoming Gina K Designs release and I'm sure Melanie and the other Gina K illustrators have tons of fabulous, wonderful, good things in store for us!

Here is my latest card created using Melanie's Pressed Flowers stamp set:

I know I will use and enjoy this stamp set for years to come! It is timeless...who can resist the sentimental beauty of pressed flowers?...Not me!

Pressed Flowers Mosaic

Hello...thanks for stopping by! Today I have two fun cards to share with you. These cards were made with  Gina K Designs illustrator Melanie Muenchinger's fresh, new stamp set Pressed Flowers.

I've had a lot of fun using embossing techniques with the Pressed Flowers stamp set the last couple weeks! I'm loving how the shiny embossed texture plays against the matt texture of the dye ink. Todays cards feature embossed touches as well.

It's also been fun to combine Pressed Flowers with some of Melanie's "oldie but goodie" sets! The ones I played with for the following cards are Inspiration Mosaic and A Year of Flowers.

Pressed Flowers Pop!

Hello there!...I have been working on more cards for Gina K Designs illustrator Melanie Muenchinger's fresh, new stamp set Pressed Flowers.

I have thoroughly enjoyed playing with the Pressed Flowers set so very much...and I know you will too! It's given me a great excuse to spend a lot of time in my little craft corner...and yes...that makes me a very happy girl!

I was browsing some art gallery sites a few days ago and came upon some bright pop art images. Very fun and inspiring! So while I was still on my pop art buzz, I sat and popped (ha-ha) out a card. Okay horrible attempt at a joke! But I hope you like the card.  LOL  ;D

Here is the card I'd like to share: (click on card for larger view)

 

This was just a very fun card to do! I was really happy with the results. Here are the details:

This card measures 4 x 9 inches (so it fits in a legal sized envelope). 

The base is made of Gina K pure luxury card stock in black. The flower medallions are made from Gina K pure luxury card stock in white.

The stamp sets used are both Gina k Designs and illustrated by Melanie Muenchinger. They are the new Pressed Petals and the sentiment is from Say it with Flowers.

Step one: I drew an outline  around the inside front edge of card using a Sakura Jelly Roll pen in white. I  left a space for stamping my sentiment.

Step two:For medallions...stamp 3 of the daisies from the Pressed Petals stamp set on white card stock using a VersaMark Dazzle watermark stamp pad. Emboss with clear embossing powder. Use a sponge and gently rub brightly colored ink onto the embossed image. (I used Memento dye inks in tangelo, bahama blue and lilac posies)I used a spellbinder circle to cut my center embossed piece out.

Step three: stamp 3 daisies using contrasting colors(but do not emboss) and cut out with one size larger circle than the previous circles.

Step four: use dimensional foam tape and mount small embossed center flower to large flower circle.

Step five: stamp leaves ( I used Memento dye ink in pear tart.) cut out, arrange and attach leaves then bend tips up slightly.

Pressed Flowers

Hello there! Sorry I haven't posted in a few days!...I have been working on cards for Gina K Designs illustrator Melanie Muenchinger's fresh, new stamp set Pressed Flowers.

I am the luckiest girl in the world...lovely Melanie asked me to be her guest designer for this month! I am enjoying playing with the Pressed Flowers set so very much...and I know you will too!

I hope to create a few cards that might inspire you and get you into a happy place...your stamp room! 

Here is my first card: (click for larger image)

I stamped the flowers and leaves with embossing ink and embossed with  glittery embossing powders. I then cut out the flowers and leaves and arranged them on the side of my card as the border.

I stamped the sentiment on vellum in black and embossed with black embossing powder.
