Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge 111

It's that time again... another fun sketch by Priscilla.

 This weeks sketch...it's "YOUR PICK" Make it fancy, clean and simple, or somewhere in-between. 

I usually make something somewhere in between.

These fancy birdies are actually from a Christmas digital image by Priscillastyles called "Christmas Ornaments" . I isolated the birdies from the other ornaments in the digi and then made them larger. That my friends is what makes digital images so versatile. (It' s also fun to challenge yourself to use an image in a way that's a little out of the box!)  ;D

I colored with Copics and glittered the wings with a Sakura gel pen. A bit of lace, ribbon and a pretty wooden button and it's done.

Midnight Madness

Boy oh boy...whew...long week-end! Sick children, sick me and now sick hubby. I haven't played with my paper and glue for 4 whole days. Talking about withdrawl! I'm ready for everyone to get well and back to school and work and let me have a little breather! ;D  Do you ever feel that way? Gosh knows, I really do love them. LOL 

The good news is that I finished my card for the Midnight Madness sketch challenge  before we all got the "bug". This sketch scared me to death...YES scared me! It is very cool but has some very unusual shapes ... the perfect sketch for a good challenge.  ;D

This is a closer look at Priscillastyles pretty digi image Sweet Pea Flowers in all it's twining vine goodness:

 
I altered, resized and printed my digi stamp, colored it with Copics and highlighted areas with Sakura glaze pen. I cut the image out with my oval nestie using my fab Spellbinders Grand Caliber. The rest is pretty straight forward.  But if you have any questions...let me know. Christmas Bells become Wedding Bells

I actually fell in love with this digi stamp last Christmas. (Here is my Christmas card)I've been thinking lately that it would be a shame to only use it during the holidays, it's such a lovely set of bells.

So I decided to try them out as wedding bells... and I really like them used this way! You can find them at Priscillastyle's Boutique. Aren't they beautiful?

I colored the image with my Copics and used a Sakura clear gel pen to add some shine and dimension to the bells.

Midnight Madness Challenge

Hi! I hope you can stop by the Midnight Madness Sketch challenge site ...I really loved the sketch this week!

I used one of my Priscillastyles digi stamps, Dressform. There are 3 images in the set and it's perfect for the  shabby chic style that's so popular right now. I love the look but I am NOT great at this style no matter how I try!  ;D

But I keep trying!...

My card falls somewhere in between the two. Maybe if I'd commit whole heartedly to "fancy" I'd do better at shabby! Oh well, I'm just a CAS girl at heart!  ;D

I adore this Heart Wreath!

 
It's time for this weeks Midnight Madness sketch challenge...MMSC85. 

 
I had the pleasure of putting together this little 4.25 x 4.25 card using one of Priscillastyle's new digi stamps...Heart Wreath. The fun thing about a Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge is that you can choose to do the plain or the fancy sketch...or something in between!  ;D  Which is what I generally end up with! 

I took my color cue from a really cute DCWV matte stack called "All About Girls". Such yummy colors! The little Adore tag even came from this matte stack. 

The Heart Wreath digi was colored with copic markers. I used a Sakura Glaze pen to give the hearts some shine. Added twine and pearls and there you have it. Fun and easy.
